Show up in Google AI Overviews - before your competitors do
Generative Engine Optimization targets Google AI Overviews, Bing Copilot, and AI-generated search summaries - the new zero-click layer that appears before organic results.
Google AI Overviews now appear for over 25% of searches and they answer the question before anyone clicks. Brands that aren't cited in those overviews are invisible for that query - even if they rank #1 in the organic results below. GEO is the work that gets you into the AI answer, not just the list underneath it.

AI Overview appearance audit
Systematic GSC + manual testing to find which queries for your brand trigger AI Overviews and whether you're being cited in them. Gap report against competitors.
Passage-level content optimisation
AI Overviews cite specific passages, not whole pages. Content is restructured so authoritative, standalone-readable passages exist for every target query.
Entity & authority signals
E-E-A-T signals, author pages, About pages, brand mentions, and structured entity data - the trust signals that determine which sources Google's AI pulls from.
Schema markup for AI extractability
FAQ, HowTo, Article, Speakable, and Organization schema so Google's AI can identify and extract your content with high confidence.
Semantic content structure
Topic coverage, semantic keyword depth, and question-answer formatting so your content satisfies the full intent of AI Overview queries, not just a surface-level match.
AI Overview tracking
Weekly monitoring of AI Overview appearances for your target queries. Citation frequency, competitor citations, and trends - reported monthly.
Results that build trust
The numbers behind the work - measured on real production data, not demos.

I'm Smit Parekh - a full-stack developer who writes every single line of your code
With 4+ years of experience shipping production systems for FinTech, SaaS, and AI startups, I work as a senior individual contributor - no juniors on your project, no account managers between you and the work. Every commit, every architecture decision, every deployment lands on my machine first.
I specialise in the TypeScript ecosystem - React & Next.js on the frontend, Node.js / NestJS on the backend, PostgreSQL for data, and AWS for infrastructure. I've built headless e-commerce stores, multi-tenant SaaS platforms, real-time dashboards, AI-powered tools, and performance-first marketing sites. The common thread: clean code, zero tech-debt handover docs, and measurable business results.

Me vs. an agency vs. hiring in-house
Three ways to get this built. Here's the honest comparison.
Best value Solo Dev (me) $80-$120 /hr or fixed | Agency $150-$300 /hr blended | In-house hire $80-$120K /yr + benefits | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Start date | 1-2 weeks from quote | 4-8 weeks onboarding | 8-16 weeks to hire |
| Who writes the code | Senior dev - every single line | Junior assigned to your account | Whoever you manage to hire |
| Communication | Direct - you talk to who codes | Via account manager first | Direct, but management overhead |
| Flexibility | Scale up or down any time | Locked to contract length | Fixed headcount, hard to change |
| Code ownership | 100% yours, full handover docs | Depends on contract terms | Yours, but bus factor risk |
| Risk | Weekly demos, fixed scope | Scope creep & handoff gaps | Wrong hire = months lost |
Questions I get asked first
What are Google AI Overviews?+
AI Overviews (formerly Search Generative Experience) are the AI-generated summary answers Google shows at the top of search results, above the organic blue links. They appear for over 25% of queries and include citations to sources. Being cited there drives impressions and traffic even when users don't scroll to your organic listing.
Does ranking in organic results help with AI Overviews?+
It's a factor but not the only one. Google's AI cites pages that have high E-E-A-T signals, clear passage-level answers, and strong semantic relevance - not just those that rank #1. Pages outside the top 10 can still appear in AI Overviews if their content is the best direct answer.
Can I opt out of AI Overviews?+
Yes - you can use the 'nosnippet' meta tag to prevent your content from appearing in AI Overviews. But for almost every business, being cited in AI Overviews is a visibility advantage, not a risk.
How long does GEO take to show results?+
AI Overview citations can change within weeks as Google re-evaluates content quality. Schema and passage changes that improve extractability tend to pick up faster than new content that needs to build authority. Plan for 6-10 weeks to see meaningful change in citation frequency.
